Erin and Harris’ elegant and classic wedding at The Grand Ivory was a highlight of the summer. After working with these two for their engagement session last fall, I was just as anxious to see them together for their big day, Their chemistry is so effortless, electric and I can confidently say they have been a muse of a couple for me this season. Not only that, but their kindness and genuine hearts have always been a delight to be around. They have impacted everyone around them, which was clearly evident in the presence of their guests on their wedding day.
The day was a quintessential mid-summer wedding, hot and breezy with sunny clear skies. One of my favorite parts of The Grand Ivory is the expansive land that the venue sits on. Erin and Harris played to this characteristic well, complimenting it with simple details and classic summer florals spread throughout the ceremony and reception decor. Tables were lined with soft linen and sprinkled with tea candles and small thistle floral arrangements throughout. I think I loved the cake the most, the sophistication of the texture matched so well to the overall aesthetic of the day. These subtle details of the decor and the clean lines that made up the architecture of the spaces made this entire day! As a photographer, I love catching all these nuances to include in client galleries. To me, these are what helps defy a wedding day, making it personal and unique to every couple.
“Caitlyn!! We finally had the chance to go through the gallery you sent and are over the moon with how everything turned out. The pictures are so timeless and perfect, we are so in love with every single one of them. We feel so special and grateful that we stumbled upon you to be the person who captured our day, and I know that we’ll feel that way forever having these pictures to remind us! All of our family members and friends can’t stop gushing over them either and how beautiful they are. We just feel so lucky! You are so incredibly talented and we are just so thankful and in awe by you. We will forever treasure these. Thank you.”
