April and Chris’s fall wedding at The Grand Ivory was the perfect mixture of minimal, modern details and romantic vibes. From her long-sleeve lace gown to the outdoor ceremony under a clean white chapel to the romantic green garland that graced the farm tables at the reception, to their intimate last dance and epic sparkler exit at the end of the night. Every inch was a photographer’s dream to photograph, as well as the love between April and Chris that lit every part of their day. Especially the stunning sunset we had just after their ceremony, we HAD to take advantage of all the warm light and capture these two in the height of their excitement!
This was a sentimental day for me, not only having photographed these two for their engagements earlier that summer and also capturing April for her bridals, I also felt very connected to their story having also married my high-school sweetheart. I remember just after their first look, April looking at Chris in tears saying, “All this doesn’t matter, it just doesn’t matter.” They were just so ready to be married after the long story of growing up together. It’s stories like this that are just so unique and extra special to be able to document.
I can’t wait to dive back into the wedding season! Looking forward to all my weddings this year but especially looking forward to fall, because honestly who doesn’t love a pretty fall wedding?!
