Kayla and Troy’s charming spring wedding was one of my first (of quite a few) weddings in Austin this year. Texas, being the great state that it is, graced us with the most perfect weather that weekend, creating the setting for the couple’s celebration at The Ivory Oak. I was lucky to also be working with quite the vendor team – Tracy Collins Events, Floral Fetish and Marquee Event Rentals to name a few. Most of Kayla and Troy’s portraits took place under the giant oak trees that the venue is known for, with serene sunlight peaking through the branches. It reminded me of their engagements that we photographed only a few month prior in the middle of summer – some of my favorites from the season!
The feminine and soft details designed by Tracy and her team created the most romantic setting from the asymmetric greenery at the altar in the open-air ceremony space to the grand indoor reception at the barn where tables were laced with light pink tulle and antique details spread throughout. A perfect vibe for the time of year! The entire day was seamless and I’m thankful to work with couples who not only have great taste and an eye for design but trust the vision of their vendor team!

“I just wanted to thank you for everything you did on our wedding day. You were everywhere but invisible at the same time and really took the pressure feeling of “all eyes on me” off of the day and made me feel super comfortable. I really appreciate everything you’ve done! You’re wonderful!”
