Romantic florals, an industrial venue, overall moody vibes and vintage-inspired details. This gorgeous fall wedding at Deity Brooklyn was a highlight of my fall wedding season! I knew Michelle and Jonathan would put together an incredible day, and walking into Deity on this crisp October Saturday fell nothing short of expectation. Every detail was meticulously thought through, coordinated and executed beautifully by each vendor. I had a blast working with everyone, especially these two who are nothing short of #dreamclients.
We started the day photographing Michelle in the roomy and light-filled bridal suite on the top floor of Deity as she got ready for her day. Capturing details is one of my favorite parts of a wedding. They can really help tell the story of the day and are such a great way to add personal touches for each couple. As anticipation set in, we traveled with Michelle to the first look location at Saint Ann Warehouse at Brooklyn Bridge Park where Jonathan waited to see his bride. I can’t tell you how lucky we were with the weather and a cooperative crowd at the park as we captured their portraits with the Brooklyn Bridge as the backdrop. Afterwards, we made our way back to Deity for a few more shots on their rooftop. Michelle had the best idea to use smoke bombs during this session!
Their ceremony and reception took place on the second floor of Deity which added an intimate feel as their friends and family gathered to watch them exchange vows. After the ceremony, we saw the work of their talented florist, Wild Floral Designs, create the setting of their reception including romantic centerpieces and pampas grass spread throughout the room. Michelle and Jonathan and the their guests danced the night away in the basement of Deity which further set the mood for the party.
What an amazing day to relive and I’m so thankful they trusted me to capture it all for them. And I have to show off their beautiful summer engagements we shot earlier this year. Such an amazing couple I will miss working with so much!
Can’t thank this dream team of vendors enough!
