I still remember the feeling I had leaving Megan and Ryan’s California mountain wedding at the Pinecrest Chalet. It was 9pm and I had just started driving the long 3 hours back through the Stanislaus National Forest to the Sacramento airport where my flight back to Dallas left early the next morning. Usually after long wedding days I’m pretty exhausted from all the emotional chaos of the day and ready for bed. But this night I was unusually overcome with so much energy and gratitude. The entire weekend I was greeted as family, though having met everyone only 48 hours prior, and was charmed by Megan’s euphoric laugh and Ryan’s smile. How amazing these two are! I am still in awe of their story, inspired by their passion for life. And all was perfectly celebrated all weekend. Complete with the best team who brought their elegant affair to life in the redwoods of California.
I try to find any chance to go to this gorgeous state is always a great opportunity, and this weekend was no different. I’m reminded of another picturesque day I shot in Napa last year, check out Jane and Daley’s vineyard ceremony and their intimate reception in their family’s backyard.
Holy shit Caitlyn!! These are phenomenal!! We are beaming with joy right now. How you managed to just quietly and discreetly capture all of this blows my mind. This is exactly how we wanted our wedding to be remembered. We are so glad we found you and that you could be apart of our day.
